Anyway, in lieu of class today there was a challenge between all immersion classes. There were different stations and at each station the class answered questions on vocabulary or grammar or whatever else. And every time you got an answer right you won the chance to play a game. Twas amusing. One of the statons was human bowling at the skating rink....that doesnàt make as much sense in english as it does in french...oh well. So basically, for my class, the game consisted of me (the smallest person in my class) putting on hockey pads and helmet, sitting on a crazy carpet and being pushed by my classmates into bowling pins. It was rather amusing. We hit 3 of 5 pins. Yay, well done. Chasse aux photos starts today also, theres a reunion at 3:30 that my team has to go to to get issued our camera and whatever else. I hope we win. Anyway, theres a bunch of people speaking in english and I'm getting scared so I think I'll leave now before I get expelled. Until next time, gadget. posted by that girl at 1:45:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2003 wow. Ima crazy today. First act of great...er...originality...was my presentation on pickles. I was laughing, the class was laughing and I think the prof was too....so all in all my project went over well. 2) I drank pepsi at lunch. I belched (as in BELCHED) for about an hour afterwards. Much amusement had by everyone there, also many "well dones" by the people in my vicinity. They were of course "bien fait"s but whatever eh. 3) Grammar class. Me and 2 other girls had to present 15 french idiomatic expressions and explain them to the class. We had fun. I wrote one on the board and then pulled a quick Vana White and everyone laughed. The prof made me do it again because it was so excellent. Uh oh, i feel self esteem comming on.... Then there was an idiomatic expression that means to make faces at someone. So Megan wrote the phrase on the board and told the class that we'd 3 demonstrate it at the same time. The class never knew what hit them. We made faces at them. They laughed. They made us do it 3 more times because it was so amusing. Fun eh? Anyway, that is my crazy day. Not done yet so I look forward to further insanity tonight. Wish me luck. I'm so glad I'm finally starting to feel like I fit in. I think I've had 3 good days in a row. Anyhoo, I was volunteered to be one of a team of 4 people for a picture hunt (think treasure hunt but you take pictures of the thing you're supposed to find). Max prize :$200. Sweet. Really need to get active too, that whole freshman 15 thing is working on comming true, I didn't think it would be possible to eat so much when you can't afford food. It took half a year to get 200 hits and in the last 20 days I've alreadygotten over 70. make that 130! WOW! I am pleasantly suprised. Although I imagine a few of them are from the poor people that don't know who I am that got added to my messenger list for some obscure reason. Sorry guys, I have no idea who you are either! I'm getting a lot of bizarre emails from people saying who are you and where did you get my emailing address from. Although from my point of view they added me to their list first. I have absolutle no idea whats wrong with messenger but beware my friends, you could be next. Duh da daaaaah. Any hoo, I realllly outta not be here since I have this wicked nasty oral exam today for grammar class. Bleh. We don't get to controle the speed of the casette this time which means we have 10 seconds to understad and "conditional passé"ify a sentence. If we,re not "plus que parfait"ifying it, or "conditional present"ifying and of course there's the stupid soimple "present" tense that I can't do anymore now that my language has gotten all complexified up. Bleh. I'm going home this weeknd YAY, so maybe I'll be able to recover from this overfrenchedness I'm experienceing. Excellent. I guess that's it. Until then all. wow, the my classe de lecture et Ecoute is starting to remind me way to much of my highschool CALM/PAL class but without the PAL. Can you even imagine how boring it is? It doesn't get a whole lot more boring than that. Basically CALM is a class that is all stupid projects that are supposed to make you get a carreer or something to that effect. I dunno, doesn't really weork I don't think. The biggest example is that stupid resumé project (I had to do a french resumé here too!). What I've noticed is that anyone who's followed the instructions to right a "corrrect" resumé hasn't gotten the job. Me I don't use the "correct" format and I get jobs. I dunno but there's somethingwrong with the logic there. My god, I can't believe my ife is so boring that I'm reduced to complaining about resumés. Did you know that students from all across Canada come to visit Université Sainte_Anne on this particular night? Yes my homely Université is widely known throughout hte country for this night. Why even people from Acadia come here to be entertained. Yup I think I can proudly say that my school is the only one that organizes a night dedicated to drinking games and stupidity.
