"My poor little hole..." Been busy this last little while. Been trying to do everything it seems before i go to work (which i will finally be doing on Saturday). So yeah, i cleaned my room at moms, went camping with Ned, hung out with some friends who i hadn't seen since christmas or so, and calculated my finances for next year. Turns out that, minus whatever i end up spending on eating, i'll be paying about $9,500 next year which is excellent. Especially since if i was living in an immersion residence it would cost me over $12,000. Very good. And i have the feeling i won't be spending more than $50/week (and even that is an over estimate i think) and that puts all told me paying a little over $10,000. Very awesome. It's insane to think that only paying $10,000 a year is cheap :S So yeah, with my scholarships, and summer job, and my lovely aunt's $1,000 over 4 years gift, i will only have to take out $1,500 of my overawards for my student loan. Which still leaves me $5000 of it for my last year. I think i'm pretty set financially...paying for my immersion in Germany is going to be entirely different though...will probably have to work for a year after i graduate before i can finance that. anyhoo, don't need to worry about that just yet.
Camping was fun. Ned and i went to his grandparent's field (they've got something like 100 hectares of land...and there's about 9-10 acres in a hectare right?) rioght on the shore of the bay of Fundy. IT was of course quite cold, but fun. We waited until dark to light a bonfire, but just as soon as the damp wood finally caught and seemed like it would stay alight, it started to rain and lightening and thunder. It was scarey. I hate lightening. Ned loves it though, i don't understand. But he distracted me from the scarey weather and i managed to convince myself to sleep before it got closer (i've got a knack for sleeping through things i don't want to be conscious for). He stayed up watching it for hours apperently. We woke up in the morning with a puddle by our feet and the ends of our blankets were damp, but we were otherwise dry which is cool.
Can't think of too much else to say. have a happy day.
